Cruise down the Kinabatangan River and you will see the rare Proboscis monkeys at play, crashing through trees and foraging for its next meal. Or visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, where the 'Wild Man of Borneo' is rehabilitated to return to the wilds. Daily feeding sessions give a glimpse of these charming and human-ike creatures.

Bako Nature Trek

Within easy reach from Kuching, (35 minutes by road & 25 minutes by boat) this oldest of Sarawak's National Park packs on amazing array of flora and fauna in a small area (27 sq km/11 sq km). From rainforest to mangrove swamps, from strange beautiful rock formations to sandy beaches, Bako has it all. Wildlife abounds, with many species of birds, monkeys, reptiles and insects easily seen, but the star attractions are the bizarre looking Proboscis monkeys. This tour will take visitors to walk along some of the most interesting jungle trails where wildlife can easily be spotted. If in luck, we might be able to spot long-nosed or Proboscis monkeys. Enjoy scenic viewpoints along the trails and observe the many interesting plants such as Ant plants and Carnivorous Pitcher plants. Picnic lunch will be taken at the Park's Headquarters. After lunch, leave the park and leisurely return to Kuching. For those who wish to stay longer overnight accomodation can be arranged in comfortable chalets and resthouse, allowing a more thorough exploration on the many jungle trails. This tour is not recommended from December to February due to rough sea conditions.

Comfortable light clothing & rubber shoes, a sun hat or umbrella & insect repellent are suggested for this tour.
